Business Analysis. Strategy Consulting. Process Analysis. E-Business Strategy. It's called many different things, and depending on the context, can take on very different forms. I'm strong with strategy when it comes to all facets of the Internet. I'm great with process analysis when it comes to applying technology to solve business problems. I have loads of experience conducting requirements gathering and translating those into usable and elegant software applications (this is where my Information Architecture skills really come in handy).

You get the idea. Just don't ask me to analyze your accounting ledgers, predict the ROI on your new market initiatives or tell you which mutual fund to invest in;)

Here are some of the Business Analysis Services I offer:

  • JAD Session Leadership: JAD stands for "Joint Application Development." I specialize in leading brainstorming sessions to strategize and plan Web and business software applications.
  • Requirements Definition and Functional Specification: Defining in complete detail all the things software needs to do and how it will do it. When you have 20 staff who all want different things, but it all has to work together, this process can get tricky. It takes keen knowledge of business, people and technology to pull it off successfully.
  • Process Analysis: The examination of the various processes you use to do business and mapping solutions to expedite efficiencies. Business processes and their actors, entities and rules are identified and diagramed. These diagrams are reviewed, refined and passed on to the developers and information architects who use the information to plan the new systems.
  • Development of New Business Models: You've got this great idea for a new online business? Want to make sure you don't spin your wheels or waste your money? I have certainly paid my dues in this department.
  • Gap Analysis: So you want to be number 1!!? Well, who or what is number 1 right now and what do you need to do to get there? This applies to the competitive market analysis and technology solution sets.
  • Target Audience Definition: The first commandment of software is "Know Thy User!" Before you ever start, make sure you know who you are starting for.
  • Technology Recommendations: You know you need Knowledge Management, Business Intelligence, Content Management, Customer Relationship Management and a Corporate Portal. Choosing the right enterprise software, hardware and hostings platforms is not an easy undertaking. Make sure you choose wisely.
  • Documentation: There is a differece between conducting stratgy and analysis and ensuring the results are prepared properly and efficiently. I have experience producing all manner of documentation as required by each unique challenge. As a graphic designer, I can also ensure the deliverables are more than just black and white.
